Integration of Multidisciplinary Methods to Better Understand Regional Carbon Emissions

The latest report by Working Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change stated that average annual emissions global greenhouse gases during 2010–2019 were at highest level in human history. As largest energy consumer and carbon emitter world, China has pledged to reach peak before 2030 achieve neutrality 2060 implementing strict policies measures. Accurate monitoring evaluation regional CO2 are fundamental formulating emission reduction strategies conducting international verification. However, estimating key industries, cities, regions is a complex task involves multidisciplinary methods such as accounting, monitoring, numerical simulation, remote sensing inversion.
